Day 237: Sunday April 6 - Sleep in? Me... nope.

Day Two Hundred
Thirty-seven -
Sleep in?  Me.... nope.

Try as I might, each Sunday morning, I cannot for the life of me sleep in. I've tried. My eyes see the daylight creeping in through the windows, the slight hue of blue signaling to my feet that it's time to get up.
I turn over, curl up in my covers and attempt to go back to sleep. It's what your 'supposed to do' on a Sunday morning right? Not me, my legs start getting antsy, my eyes wide in the days anticipation and I rise.

However, I never regret not sleeping in. There is too much to do and see... especially on a lovely, sunny and springtime Sunday morning run :)

Day 125: Sun Dec 15th - A Perfect Sunday Long Run

One Hundred Twenty-five:
A perfect Sunday long run.

Frosty the snowman would have enjoyed this beautiful, sunny and cold day. The inversion, at least on the south end of the valley, let up a bit and the blue skies were nice to run under. The snow sparkled like millions of little diamonds. The solitude was peaceful. My fox friend scampered slowly across the snowy fields checking here and there, pouncing around and paying me no mind.  I started off  planning on my usual route, but nearly two hours later I found myself not wanting to stop running.  What better way to start off a Sunday morning. The sun, cool air, beautiful snow, fox, horses, a few dogs running around and quiet.  Afterwards a good breakfast, hot coffee and making homemade fudge with Siena and Izzy. I know I've said this before, but I love Sundays.

Day 111: Sun Dec 1st - Sunday Morning Coffee

Day One Hundred-eleven:   Sunday morning coffee.

(late post for Sunday)

Phone died mid-run, so I was unable to take a photo while out on a Sunday family run. It was a beautiful morning however, a slight warm breeze and many people out walking / running their dogs or with their loved one.
I love Sunday mornings. The weather was perfect. It almost felt like April instead of the first of December it was so warm outside.
We played at the park for a bit then headed back home to enjoy some coffee (with a touch of leftover Thanksgiving Irish Cream :)  yum.
